ADVENTURE IS OUT THERE...

The first thing you notice upon gaining consciousness is the smell. The air smells musty and woody, like the back corner of some forgotten tourist trap. As you stir yourself awake, you find yourself in a wicker bed with a soft sheet draped over you. The room’s walls are wood-paneled, and a nearby desk displays a digital clock reading “9 AM”. A singular potted plant provides the barest amount of decoration--though, the exact plant species differs between rooms. A note written in flowing cursive has been taped to your door.

MEETING IN THE LOBBY AT NOON

As you make your way out of your room, you’ll find yourself on a balcony overlooking a octagonal lobby below. Various artifacts and trophies decorate the club from top to bottom, cluttering the walls and any available surface. From here, you can clearly see that the marble floor of the lobby is decorated to look like a compass. Descending the stairs will reveal that, in addition to the artifacts mounted on the walls, several plaques have been put up detailing the lives of those trapped here--including you.

If you peer out the windows, you’ll see a tropical island sprawled out before you, overgrown with palm trees and shrubs. If you peer far enough above the treeline, you might even be able to see the ocean. No matter how hard you try, the front door is sealed shut and the windows seem impossible to break.

You've got until noon 'til the meeting happens. For now...enjoy the club, if you can.

[Quick as a flash, Leia is crouching into a defensive stance, reaching for a blaster that...isn't there. Slowly, hands held out, she straightens up.]

I mean you no harm. [...this is terrible in basically every way.] It seems we've been disarmed.

[Thank goodness there's no blaster, otherwise Leia would have to explain what a blaster is. Granted, there's no knives either, and that's bad.]

Looks like it. [Interesting... clothes. Definitely foreign.] Don't worry. I'm not going to hurt you.

[bornforit]

Good...good. [Leia straightens up, posture straight and noble.] Neither will I. Did you just wake up here, too?

Yup. In a bed I didn't recognize, inside an inn I don't recognize. [This is starting to seem like a trend.]

I don't even remember stopping anywhere for the night. I thought I was still traveling a moment ago.

[bornforit]

An inn? Hm. Doesn't look like any inn I've ever seen. It's so...primitive.

[Her nose is wrinkling, a little, as she looks around them.]

You were traveling? I sure wasn't, but I feel like I've just been through hyperspace.

Primitive? You think so? I've been in way worse dives than this.

[She frowns. Well, there's a word she doesn't understand.]

I'm sorry, what's "hyperspace?"

[Doesn't exactly roll off her tongue.]

I didn't say it was bad. Just old-fashioned.

[Leia arches an eyebrow.]

I guess you've never travelled off-planet before.

[feudalladyshandmaid]

Nnnnnnoooo. [Also arches a brow.] If by off-planet, then you really mean, off-planet. I can't exactly grow wings and fly away from it all.

[Even if sometimes she kind of wished she could.]

[Okay, so she's quickly gathering that everyone here is from a primitive world. Good to know.]

Never mind. We need to find a way out of here.

And that's the most sensible thing you've said so far. [She likes it.] There's got to be an exit we can walk out of... even though I don't expect it to be that easy.

[bornforit]

We might have to take out a few guards. Shouldn't be too difficult.

[feudalladyshandmaid]

[Oh, she likes you]

Won't be too hard for me. You know your way in a fight?

[Leia just smirks. Han Solo has been a terrible influence on her.]

I don't need a weapon to take out a few men.

whispers back that's just how it should be

I've got some weapons right here. [Just oh-so-casually cracks her knuckles.] I'd prefer having my swords, but these'll do.

[Oh, wow. Okay. Leia knows this girl. She grew up being friends with this girl.

Suddenly, Leia feels a little bit better about her odds in whatever place this is.]

We should find others. Strength in numbers.

Good idea. Better to get a lay of the land, see if there's anyone else we can trust to help break outta here.

[Like her princess, or the kid that was scaling the walls.]

Cassandra, by the way.

[bornforit]

[Leia nods, shortly, in agreement.]

I'm Leia. Let's agree to find each other before this meeting?

[feudalladyshandmaid]

Sure. Meet up downstairs. I think there's some kind of bar down there. [Hm, she should add.] And keep an eye out. Never know who might be watching.

[bornforit]

[A bar...Leia doesn't trust it. Hopefully nobody is stupid enough to drink anything from it.

She nods.]

It's a plan.

[You and her both, sister.]

A plan is all we have right now. So, it'll have to do.
