Wouldn't you like to play and party forever?

[It's been one week since your arrival to this godforsaken place, and little seems to have changed since then. The doors and windows remain locked, your reluctant host mingles between guests, and nobody has killed each other...yet. It's only a matter of time before someone gives out, though.

What little solace, if any, is that you wake up with several coins on the nightstand next to your bed. Perhaps you should try putting them in that mask in the salon? You might receive some interesting gifts....]

[ She tries for a second to figure out a way to take a bite out of it without ruining the shape, but. That's not gonna work, so she pops it into her mouth. Chews it. Blinks. ]

Oh... that's good.

[ You know, on account of how little she has to compare it to, but! ]

I'm glad you like it. [She laughs, returning to what she was doing and rolling out fondant.] Some people don't, but I think that's just because some fondant recipes are terribly bland and chewy.

I guess if you make anything the wrong way it can turn out bad.

[ in other news, people can die when they are killed ]

Yes, quite true. Baking especially is more science than people think. Or perhaps it's better to think of it as math? The ratio of this to that makes a cookie such way and so on.

[Cookie ratios are wild and I am constantly thinking about the Alton Brown cookie monster episode.]

[ X-23 looks the baking supplies. ]

I guess that makes sense. You're mixing chemicals.

[ Wild...... science that makes nice things.............. ]

Nobody thinks of it like that, though. Ah, here we go.

[She laughs, setting aside the rolling pin and putting her hands under the fondant to lift it up. In one smooth motion, she lays it over the cake that's been sitting to the side. Sugarplum smooths the fondant down before taking a knife and trimming the excess away.]

And just like that, you have a beautifully covered cake.

[ x-23 blinks, recognizing a dexterity check when she sees one ]

Is it better to use that than just frosting?

It depends on what you want. Frosting alone can be quite beautiful, but it's difficult to make in large quantities and keep the color consistent - the color gets quite streaky. [Note: the person behind the keyboard actually hates fondant and thinks this statement is bullshit. For the record.] Fondant gives a lovely smooth look to a cake and is better when you want intricate details. You couldn't make the bird I showed you earlier out of frosting as easily, for example.

It is a lot thicker than frosting. [ wait. ] Can you build things out of frosting?
