Second Trial

[neverhadafriend]

[Once again, it's time for the trial. Once again, the floor of the lobby opens up to lead you down to the trial room. Genie can be found in the center of the stage, smoking a pipe and donning a deerstalker hat.]

It's elementary, my dear Watson. [He paces around the stage, peering through a comically large magnifying glass.] You know how this goes, folks. Find the culprit, do the thing.

[He grimaces, whisking away his costume and rubbing his head.]

I gotta say, this one is...kind of a doozy. I can try and clear some things up--as long as I'm allowed to.

[He glances nervously at the birds up above, which continue to chatter amongst themselves.]

[ TRIAL START! ]

You know, it's weird...there actually wasn't any blood outside the pit. Do you think...someone used the catapult to launch a body into the pit?

I think so, yes. That certainly would explain a few things.

...but, uh... Yzma still got out of the pit, right? You'd think that'd mean there'd be blood on the outside, too...

[He says, distinctly uncomfortable talking about this next to the empty podium where she would be standing.]

There was a lot of blood at the bottom of the pit... what if she bled out down there?

[If that's the case, though...]

Whoever did this could've... pulled her body back out, which is why there's only blood down there. But why...

[primafacie]

I, ah. [She looks distinctly uncomfortable.] I think they were taken out of the pit afterward.

[tadaishi]

So someone had to be able to get in there and out while carrying someone else.

[primafacie]

I think so, yes. Or perhaps they could have pulled them out somehow? I'm not sure, but I know that I wouldn't have been able to fly them out.

[tadaishi]

I think Yzma was, at least. She had a broken arm and leg, possibly from falling.

[primafacie]

But not Cecil? [Pause.] Could. Could multiple people have done this?
