we can't hold back in our time of need
[So that was... yeah. That happened again. Rapunzel is sure she's not the only one who was hoping it wouldn't happen again, so she's sure some of the others are as rattled as her. But Sugarplum had a good idea last week; maybe a little gathering after they all make it out of the trial room. Court house? It feels like it should be called that, but even the strange way Corona staged their trials was nothing compared to what they're forced to do.
It's over now, though... for now. For now they're left to the aftermath of the deaths of more people, and Rapunzel is hit with the need to step up; she's a princess. Her job is to help others. If she can just... make everyone feel a little better after all of this, that's good enough for her. So after a quick stop back to her room to grab some supplies, Rapunzel scrawls out a few quick notes, enlisting Cassandra's help to pin them all to the doors of the survivors - even making sure the ones for Foxy and Ace are low enough for them to see and grab!]
I bet we're all in need of a little pick me up after everything that happened. I'm making lunch for everyone, if you want to come to the salon! I'm taking requests, to the best of my ability.
[Unlike Sugarplum (no offense!), Rapunzel has more than sweets on her menu. She managed to rope x-23 in to helping her and Cass at this point, setting up the tables in the salon with plates and utensils like a proper little dinner party.]

[Yet another of them is gone. Several in fact, that were just... wiped away because they were trapped on this horrible island. Time was running out, and try as they might ways to escape weren't coming to them yet.
She tried to focus on other things. The sea, the stars gently twinkling in the dusk, the feeling of Rapunzel's short hair tickling against her neck.]
But we will find a way out of here, Rapunzel. We can't give up now.

What if we just... try and build a raft and sail out of here? Even if something goes wrong, it can't be worse than dying at the hands of someone you know, or that.... that execution if something happens, right?

We could try. You and I know how to sail, so it's not like we'd be entirely useless.The main problem would probably be if we ran into any storms, or the genie tried to stop us.

[She leans closer into Cass, nearly snuggling her; she needs that warm sort of comfort that only her close friends can bring.]
What if the genie's master just... keeps on doing this until nobody is left?

[Not Kronk, or Chicken Little, or Foxy, or X-23, or Sugerplum, or anyone. But especially Rapunzel.]
I don't want to find out the answer to that. There's no reason to do this in the first place, why go through all the trouble?

[Varian wanted revenge because he felt they failed him and his father. Zhan Tiri wanted to destroy Corona because it was the kingdom Demanitus loved so much. Cass felt hurt and betrayed and was manipulated into thinking Rapunzel was the source of it all. They're not good reasons at all to do what they did, but... at least they were reasons.]
But this... it feels like whoever's behind this is doing it because they think it's fun, or something.

Then they've got a sick sense of humor. [she scoffs, looking down at Raps and just... blowing a lock of hair out of her eyes.] But I don't buy it. There's gotta be more to this - I mean, why even go through the trouble of throwing this together when you have a genie? Doing this just for kicks, and no other motive?
