we can't hold back in our time of need

[So that was... yeah. That happened again. Rapunzel is sure she's not the only one who was hoping it wouldn't happen again, so she's sure some of the others are as rattled as her. But Sugarplum had a good idea last week; maybe a little gathering after they all make it out of the trial room. Court house? It feels like it should be called that, but even the strange way Corona staged their trials was nothing compared to what they're forced to do.

It's over now, though... for now. For now they're left to the aftermath of the deaths of more people, and Rapunzel is hit with the need to step up; she's a princess. Her job is to help others. If she can just... make everyone feel a little better after all of this, that's good enough for her. So after a quick stop back to her room to grab some supplies, Rapunzel scrawls out a few quick notes, enlisting Cassandra's help to pin them all to the doors of the survivors - even making sure the ones for Foxy and Ace are low enough for them to see and grab!]

I bet we're all in need of a little pick me up after everything that happened. I'm making lunch for everyone, if you want to come to the salon! I'm taking requests, to the best of my ability.

[Unlike Sugarplum (no offense!), Rapunzel has more than sweets on her menu. She managed to rope x-23 in to helping her and Cass at this point, setting up the tables in the salon with plates and utensils like a proper little dinner party.]

You know, for the longest time, I considered hazelnut soup to be my favorite meal.

[But... that's just what Gothel wanted her to like. Now, she's not sure if she can stomach it.]

Now... I'm not sure. I've tried so many foods in the past couple of years, it's hard to pick a favorite! [Ah, but that doesn't help his plan, does it?] If I had to pick something off the top of my head, though... the chefs at the castle are really good at making omelettes, because my dad loves eating eggs. The kind where you wrap up a bunch of ingredients after you get the eggs all nice and fluffy... that's really good.

Mmm...omelettes are great. Eggs are great...tasty and you can douse them with just about anything....ketchup, soy sauce, syrup, molasses.

[He laughs at the last one in the list.]

I'm told the last one is good. I'm too scared to try it myself.

Molasses?

[Now that's a new one!]

I've never heard of anyone eating eggs with molasses before... hm. It can't be too different from eating them with syrup, can it?

[Okay.... okay. Idea time! She turns away from the counter she'd been using for all her prep work, shuffling through the cabinets where all the other ingredients and such are stored.]

Why don't we try it now?

[It is indeed.]

Neither have I. It's pretty strong, but probably not bad.

[Well apparently she's determined to make that right now. Hm.]

Uh...sure.

[Good thing the frying pan is still warm from the last meal she made. She doesn't have to wait long before she can crack a few eggs and start whisking them, setting aside the jar of molasses she found to the side.]

Hm... do you think we should warm them up in the pan along with the eggs? or separately? Maybe if you heat them up they'll be a little less thick and easier to spread.....

Hmm...you should try mixing them together and scrambling the eggs.

Oooh, genius!

[She takes a spoonful - thankfully, not too much - of the molasses, dropping it in with the eggs and working it all together. It's a bit of a tough whisk, but Rapunzel is determined!]

Cook the eggs just a little longer so it can warm everything up properly.... [Hm.] Ketchup would probably be bad on it, with how sweet it'll be with the molasses. I guess we should just eat it plain?

[tadaishi]

[He makes a face at the suggestion of ketchup.]

Those are two flavors that definitely don't go together, no.

Yeeeeah, that might be a little too much...

[Her face mirrors his as her nose scrunches up.]

Maybe just... some fruit on the side, then. Wanna cut up some strawberries for me?

[tadaishi]

No problem.

[While she's cooking the eggs, he'll wash and slice up a couple strawberries into wedges.

It's starting to smell good, if nothing else.]

[Very good! The sugar from the molasses cooking and the yolk in the egg... it's an interesting combination. She'll have to make it for her dad whenever they escape from here.]

Think a tiny bit powdered sugar would be too much for the eggs, like a crepe? Hm, probably....

A tiny bit won't hurt, probably.

[Though with the strawberries...]
