THIRD TRIAL

[Once again, you make your way to the lobby of the Adventurers Club. Once again, you make you way down the stairs to the trial room that awaits you below the surface. Today, however, the birds seem to be occupied by something other than the excitement of murder. Whispers are exchanged, and although no sentences can be made out, you might hear the occasional word--enough to know that they're talking about wishes.

Before the weight of the conversation begins to settle in, Genie appears in the center of the stage, glancing around at the podiums.]

Wow, the crowd's really starting to thin out, huh? [He lets out a nervous chuckle.] Y'know, I don't...think I've asked my master what happens if this keeps happening until nobody's left.

[He looks like he's about to add something else, but glances towards the birds on the ceiling and decides against it. Third times the charm, right?]

[Boy, does he know that very well.]

... It's fine. I'm used to it.

Well, get un-used to it. That's not happening anymore.

Well no... not from her anymore, I guess.

[Since... Sugar plum is probably going to get executed here.

But he can't speak for say... Mim, or Bob, or really anyone back in Oakey Oaks.]

[halloteen]

From anybody. [she'll turn them all into newts]

[bottlerockets]

What?

[He looks a little startled, taken aback by that. Clearly, he's not used to people standing up for him very often, save for Abby maybe.]

[redloxy]

[She trots over to pat him on the shoulder.] Maybe I wasn't quite in my right mind when I told you...but you really did save the town from those aliens. That's...not stupid.

[bottlerockets]

[Oh... after a moment, Chicken Little smiles weakly.]

Thanks Foxy... that actually means a lot, coming from you.

[He had been so used to her calling him stupid in the past, so hearing this now is nice.]
