if I'm burning a bridge, let it burn

[Nobody liked that. Least of all Cassandra. For the third time now, they had been forced to piece together a murderer's puzzle and send that murderer to their death. And while most probably didn't like Sugarplum near the end... Cass couldn't find it in her heart to be mad at her motives. After all, how long did she wait for others to give up on her? Leave her behind?

...She can't sit on those thoughts forever. She needs to do something with her time, and her hands. Rapunzel stepped up last time, now it's her turn; there's still time left in the day, enough to head to the depot and start preparing a note that gets slid under every living person's door in the club.

Meet me down at the beach for a bonfire. Drinks and snacks are provided, but you can bring your own.
Let's try and cheer up, or just burn things.

And, true to her word, there's a pretty nicely raging bonfire set up on the sandy shore. Along with a cooler or two of drinks and snacks from the depot.

Not too many sweets though. Who still has a sweet tooth after that?]

So many people here deserved second chances they'll never get, now...

I'm not even sure what to do anymore... At first, I was really hoping we could bring their bones back to their loved ones? Burials are so important... But, Genie's not really leaving much behind with those executions... And a lot of them don't even seem to have loved ones to start with.

[That's honestly heartbreaking to think about. Sugarplum could come with one of them... but what about Kronk? Did he have any friends, aside from Yzma, who only bossed him around? What about Daisy's friends? Cecil surely had to know people aside from his brother...]

Maybe we can find a way to bring them all back. Once we find the mastermind, once we defeat him and free the genie... maybe the genie will be able to undo all the horrible things that happened here.

[She's seen miracles happen with magic before, so there's no real uncertainty in her voice. She's just... worried.]

I just don't want more people to get hurt before that happens.

I'm not even sure we can. If there's one thing the genie has been pretty insistent about-- besides saying that there's no way me and Cassandra could beat up his master [which she doesn't believe, at all, okay]-- it's that bringing people back from the dead... It's messy. It's a kind of magic my grandma hasn't even shown me yet, if she ever will.

Magic isn't all the same, and... maybe genie's magic can't do it, but we can find someone who can. Maybe he can help us with that, at least.

Were any of the people that you resurrected... I think the most delicate way to describe most of the executions so far is, "macerated?"

One had been stabbed. One had been poisoned. The last... I didn't exactly see what happened, but she'd been caught in an explosion that threw her back. She'd been fine before, but when the light cleared, she was so still...

[Blunt force trauma probably, but it's not like there was any blood, so>??? Disney cartoons and their lack of blood amirite?

But any wounds I would try to heal just... disappeared. Like they were never there.
