[Well even despite your best efforts, a murder happened, and you found out that someone you thought was a good friend turned out to be someone who'd kill all of you if they had the chance. So that's a fun way to end a trial, right?

On the bright(???) side, the last bit of the island has opened up! You can go drown your sorrows elsewhere now! Isn't that great?

Look I'm trying my best to stave you guys away from the despair that is "trapped on a murder island", go have fun dancing or something.]

No! We'll ask him to help us get home, and then we'll free him! He's not happy doing what he's doing, and it's not fair to just enslave him again. He deserves to be free, just like the rest of us do.

Oh! I must've missed that when I was looking through the weapons! [He considers taking it, then changes his mind with:] You want take a few swings yourself?

[There's at least one person in this club that will probably make for a difficult person to avoid... especially when that person was seeking Rapunzel out herself.

Cassandra hasn't caught on to just what Rapunzel is whisking away in her arms yet, not from this angle. While she tails her friend... (girlfriend?), a item she already received from the mask was burning a hole in her pocket, and Cass could only imagine the look on Rapunzel's face when she pulled them out.]

Wow, you really haven't ever held a sword, have you?

[Cassandra's been busy today, but there's still plenty of time to stop and snark! And honestly, it did not take long at all to spot Tadashi trying to chop down a tree with the worst form she's ever seen.]

[This was a week for attempting escape. Cass had been up late at night, thinking, going over in her head the many ideas they'd already had, scribbling away each one until the surest one remained. It might not even work... but maybe they could at least prevent another murder from happening?

Once Rapunzel's meeting has adjourned, Cassandra retires to the club's regain mask. No flaming pumpkin this time. A couple apples though... a massive hot dog, some schmaltzy love letter, and.......... Oh.

Well.

This may seem almost funny. She sits among some interesting food, a love letter, and even a gold dubloon... But it's the beaded bracelets cradled in her hands that seem to capture all her interest.

The morning left Cassandra filled with energy, so she sets out from the club, finally putting her plan into action. The plan was simple: chop down trees, build a raft, and attempt escape. There were no shortage of trees around the island. And Cassandra's a quick worker, so once she finds a reasonably sized tree, she levels the blade of her sword against it and gets to work.

Because chopping down trees with a sword is something she can just do, apparently!

Or find her at the beach around the afternoon, sitting among a few logs she'd evidently dragged down to the sand. Looks like she's taking a break.]

MOTIVE: WHATEVER HAPPENED TO RULE NUMBER THREE?

New week, new motive, am I right, folks?

[Genie pulls out an envelope and opens it, putting on a pair of comically small reading glasses. He reads from a slip of paper, frowning more and more heavily, before vanishing it away.]

So, you ask--what's the incentive this week to get someone to kill? Well, there are certainly many people you'd trade a life to get back, yeah? So, this week, if someone kills someone and gets away with it, we'll be able to bring any one person back from the dead! Doesn't have to be from this island--though, it can be!

[A beat. Genie looks distinctly uncomfortable.]

Look, under normal circumstances, I can't bring people back from the dead. Personal rule. But...they think they can.

[Ah.

This is probably the first time Rapunzel has ever not been happy to see Cass. She wasn't planning to hide the mirror or anything, of course not! But she wanted to be... careful about it. She wanted to make sure they were in private before she showed the other woman. But... well. Looks like that's not happening now.]

Cass! Um... hey!

[As she spins around, Rapunzel moves her hands behind her, so that she's now holding the mirror behind her back. Totally not suspicious at all.]

Surprise? I love surprises! What do you have?

[GUFFAW!] Oh, I'd love to see 'em try!

[ X-23 seems... genuinely completely unbothered by the motive because taps forehead can't be tempted to bring anyone back from the dead if you've only ever had one friend and he's immortal.

By now she's scoped out all the new buildings, but she has Things To Do. In the morning she's in the library with the suggestions so far from her super professional name box, collecting them and some from books she has around her into a single list and sort of... contemplating it. Hm. Hmmmmm.

Later on, she actually stops by the Empress Lily for a while to.... oh hm. She's just going around and ordering a bunch of different fancy restaurant foods! That's a nonsense amount of food she's gathering!

If she notices anyone who isn't a mannequin, though, she'll wave you over. ]

[ Much later on, though, she can be found sitting on the beach with... some kind of glass tank next to her? Is it... are those a bunch of grubs in there? ]

And you can be... I'll name you Jubilee, and you can be Julian...

[What's a sword but a very sharp baseball bat?]

No, and I doubt you're really supposed to use them for this kind of thing. But it's working...kind of.

Can I help? [She just pops up next to him, looking eager.]

And why are we supposed to believe this, exactly? That they "think" they can do something?

Like get them mad enough to say something wish-y?

I second this line of questioning, but once again must interject with the idea that we should kill the Genie.

[Okay so like. Rapunzel knows that bringing people back from the dead is possible. She's done it three times; Pascal, Eugene, and Cass are still-living proof of that. And... she's made sacrifices before, to bring the people she loves back. She'd been willing to give up her freedom to bring Eugene back. She'd been willing to give up her life to bring back Cassandra.

But those were her sacrifices. She can't sacrifice anyone else just to bring back someone who'd died here. So this doesn't affect her much, but it does make her wonder...]

Could they have found the sundrop somehow...?

[It's more a question to herself, rather than Genie, but she does say it out loud....]

Annoy them so much they'd say [and she drops her voice into a low growl now] "I wish you would all just stop!!"

That could waste the third wish, and it would be vague enough that genie won't have to hurt us!

[She breathes out with some sort of laugh to it. It wasn't like Rapunzel to act this way... whatever 'this' was. Suspicious is what it was.

But that's hardly getting in the way of Cassandra's mood boost. Her hands were also behind her back, waiting for the right moment as she approached the love of her life.]

You know how that mask apparently has our stuff in it, for some probably creepy reason? [She grins, holding her hands out in front of her, opening them together.] Well, look what it gave me today!

[That sure is a pair of blue and yellow bracelets!]
