The birds are unusually quiet when you enter the room, peering down at the crowd with some curiosity. The Genie is center stage, his eyebrows knit together in concern.]

...You know what to do, folks. [He rubs the back of his neck, somehow looking even more anxious than previous trials.] Just a, uh, fair warning, my master's getting real antsy about this whole exercise.

... That is the dumbest way to use the motive, so that's almost definitely what he was doing. He was gonna kill whoever ended up killing him to hang out with Shakespeare or something.

Bob is... odd... but do you really think he's that petty? Why not use it to bring back his brother, instead? The times I brought people back to life... they were people I loved. If he was going to use that wish at all, I would think he'd try to bring Cecil back.

Of course he was that petty. He hated his brother. His first reaction to Cecil being murdered was assuming it was some kind of trick against him.
