[At around 3 AM, any semblance of normalcy is shattered by a deafening explosion that shakes the very foundations of the club, causing dust and plaster to cascade from the ceiling. Hope you weren't planning on sleeping in. Within seconds, the shaking stops, and the club falls quiet again.

Whatever that was, it couldn't have been good. Sounds like it came from the first floor.

[Cool. Love it. What if she heads to the lounge?]

[Well...it definitely looks like something happened here. Confusing machinery has been set up around the room, sprawling across the walls and floor, leading straight to an almost cartoonish cannon. The floor is covered in glitter, and it's hard to step anywhere without getting it on your clothes.

From the cannon, it's hard to miss the large and the very recognizable silhouette left in the explosion, as well as the body that has slumped to the ground.]

[Well! It's a good thing her clothes are already covered in glitter. Joke's on you mods. She is gonna approach the body, though.]

Hello? Are you alright? We all heard a frightful noise from down here.

[The body does not respond. As Sugar Plum inspects the body more closely, it's hard to miss that trademark hunched back and terrible triangular facial structure, even through the glitter currently marring its face.

Doctor Doofenshmirtz is dead, and covered in an almost impressive layer of glitter.

There's...no way this is getting cleaned off his corpse, right?]

[She's pretty sure explosions are bad for humans. They can't simply be put back together like she can.]

[He's just going to climb right through all that glitter to check for a pulse.]

Oh dear. It seems strange that he would put himself in the line of fire of an inator, so I don't think this was an accident.

[She does not fucking know what an inator is, honestly, but she assumes it's a fancy word for invention.]

He was working on a way to get us out of here.
