[Well that was a fun trial, wasn't it? An innocent man got brutally killed by everyone, and while you found out more about the person responsible of all this all it really amounts to is "The Genie is insistent that you don't want to meet him".

And yet you took this warning from a powerful being to go "yeah we can take them!". Y'all oughta be ashamed of yourselves.

On the bright side though, when you wake up you will find out that more of the island has opened up! It's not much but at least you can wash your clothes.

... There is a nonzero chance that the Genie quickly built that as an apology for all that blood. Whoops.]

[She's never given this sort of advice before, and honestly, who would she give it to outside of this instance? But, she's trying, and there seems to be an effort going on in X-23's case as well.]

If you want them to be, then I think that's a pretty good sign that they are real.

[She'd rather that the kid look more confused and startled at herself than breaking down in frustration.]

"There is more in you" remember? What they wanted you to be, that's not who you are now.

It's different chemicals that make the colors change. I can't remember which colors make which colors...a friend explained them to me before, but she was a bit overexcited.

[ The thing both Cass and Rapunzel said to her. She holds onto it, and... it really does help. She nods. ]

Yeah. I'm... me. Whoever that is.

[ She's not confused when she says it, more... determined? ]

Ohhhhh, maybe it's one of those movies that's not like the book. I wonder how it's different? [She settles back for a moment to enjoy the current action scene.]

All right! [She carries the box in both arms as they head toward the beach.] Oh right, do you have matches or anything like that?

[A phrase like that really helped both girls through their respective adventures. Rapunzel learning that there's more outside of her new life in a castle, Cassandra realizing that there was more inside her than anyone could say and learning new inner strength. Now, hopefully, it can do some good for another girl.]

Yeah, you are.

[Claps her on the shoulder. Gently! Of course.]

...Speaking of whoever 'you' are... Have you ever thought about maybe... calling yourself something else?

[Kinda sounds like Varian when he gets going. Oh, and speaking of-!]

He's one of my best friends back home! He's a total genius when it comes to alchemy and inventions - he can do pretty much anything with the stuff he can brew up, and he's even made us a system to give the whole kingdom hot running water!

[Which, she now knows, isn't... you know. A huge thing to the people here. But it's big to them!]

He loves analyzing anything he can get his hands on and loves inventing and trying to find scientific solutions to everything... sometimes it doesn't work out all too well, but he keeps trying. He's a great kid.

Those voices... you know they're all wrong, right?

[It's hard to listen to, she absolutely agrees with that. Hearing Gothel gloating about how she was right about the real world and how foolish Rapunzel is being has been hard, and she's dealt with that sort of thing all her life. Still...]

You can't listen to them. You just need to listen to you, and what you think makes you happy.

[ There's that question again. She'd be lying if she said she hadn't put some thought in, but... it's sure been the furthest thing from her mind today so far. ]

... A little. Rapunzel asked me on the first day here, and... thinking about it doesn't scare me nearly as much anymore, but... I still don't know what I'd pick. Most of the names I know are taken by people I know.

[ She digs a box of them out of her pocket. ]

They had some at the fireworks place.

Great! Looks like we're ready for an early Fourth of July! [They're pretty close to the shore now. Foxy looks around a bit to make sure no one else is standing in the way of a potential rocket strike.]

What makes me happy...baseball! Baseball used to make me really happy. I was the star player!

[She brightens, then frowns again at a voice that simply repeats some facts.] Well...until Chicken Little made that game-winning home run. Then he was everyone's hero until the town thought he was lying about the aliens.

[... This is fine. They won't be disappointed when they realize how much the movie is considered bad by comparison, right?]

Now my suggestion, once again, is that we disable the Genie.

[Honestly... it makes Rapunzel feel guilty, now. She hadn't just been brushing off Cass's friendship when she'd been blind to how her friend - girlfriend??? - had been feeling during their journey. She'd brushed off her deeper feelings too, tried to say she was just like a sister...

Geez. She has a lot to make up for, doesn't she? But that's okay. They can move past it together.]

I don't... I don't know when things changed for me. I think I might've started feeling different when we were turned into birds... or maybe when I lost my memory? I just wish I'd realized that my feelings changed.

[Her smile doesn't fade, but there's a hint of sadness in Rapunzel's eyes as she pulls one arm back, so she can cup Cass's cheek in her hand.]

I'm sorry. I know I've said that before, but I didn't realize just how much I must have been hurting you during our journey to the Dark Kingdom...

[When it came to blades, she had a combination of knowledge from growing up around the guards, and self-taught training in secret.]

Honestly? [A single (1) chuckle.] You could name yourself anything. Did Raps tell you about the Pug Thugs back home? Two of them are named 'Hook Foot' and 'Hook Hand'.
