[Well that was a fun trial, wasn't it? An innocent man got brutally killed by everyone, and while you found out more about the person responsible of all this all it really amounts to is "The Genie is insistent that you don't want to meet him".

And yet you took this warning from a powerful being to go "yeah we can take them!". Y'all oughta be ashamed of yourselves.

On the bright side though, when you wake up you will find out that more of the island has opened up! It's not much but at least you can wash your clothes.

... There is a nonzero chance that the Genie quickly built that as an apology for all that blood. Whoops.]

Maybe... we could use the fireworks, or start a fire of some kind in general to see if we can signal anyone out there that will see it?

It would have to be a lot of fireworks... but maybe the smoke could attract some more attention.

Yeah! Like... I mean, I haven't seen any planes or anything like that yet, but that doesn't mean it's not possible that one might pass by overhead at some point? Or maybe someone will see it from another island or something?

[If we can just pause for a minute.]

"Plane"... Like, a hot air balloon? I guess we'd be lucky if one of those flew overhead.

[bottlerockets]

... Oh, uh, planes are like... really big aircrafts that can carry a lot of people. Like close to a hundred people or more at once, if the plane is big enough for it.

[He can draw a picture of one if you'd like to have an example?]

Yeah. I get the feeling that I'm not the only one that won't know what that is, so if you maybe want to provide a reference...?

Yeah, sure!

[And thus, Chicken Little draws a plane! ... In the kind of quality you expect a 12 year old to draw a plane, but it's at least legible enough that people here who know what a plane is will recognize it for that.]

Anyone sees one of these in the sky? Make sure to let everyone else know!

[No one can say that he didn't try his best here... except his dad, who we are currently going to keep ignoring.]

Yeah! And I've seen it in movies before, where you can signal a plane with smoke, so if there is one that flies overhead, if we get enough smoke going in time, they should be able to see it and realize that there are people here.

Right... As long as we don't set the entire island on fire.

While we're still on it.

Err... yeah. Right. That would be bad.

[Though, maybe Genie would help put it out? ... Unless his master said no because it would be funnier to watch them burn themselves to death, in which case that would be even worse.]

We'll get out of here! Don't worry about it.

[Even though he has every right to worry about it. And she's worrying too.]

We are on a magical island controlled by a magical blue man. I don’t think the chances of a plane passing are high.

... I guess you might have a point there.

[But does it really hurt to hope that maybe they missed that possibility happening here...]

Now my suggestion, once again, is that we disable the Genie.

How would you even do something like that?

Is there a scenario where we could trap him? Not necessarily kill him, persay, but we should keep our options open.

Wouldn't the Genie just... teleport himself out of a trap? Or use magic to make it go away?

That’s why we need to figure out a weakness and exploit it.

Um... well the only weakness we know of involves that lamp of his, but his master probably has it somewhere that we can't get to.

[So... they need to find out if there's another weakness other than the lamp that Genie hasn't told them yet?]
