ADVENTURE IS OUT THERE...

The first thing you notice upon gaining consciousness is the smell. The air smells musty and woody, like the back corner of some forgotten tourist trap. As you stir yourself awake, you find yourself in a wicker bed with a soft sheet draped over you. The room’s walls are wood-paneled, and a nearby desk displays a digital clock reading “9 AM”. A singular potted plant provides the barest amount of decoration--though, the exact plant species differs between rooms. A note written in flowing cursive has been taped to your door.

MEETING IN THE LOBBY AT NOON

As you make your way out of your room, you’ll find yourself on a balcony overlooking a octagonal lobby below. Various artifacts and trophies decorate the club from top to bottom, cluttering the walls and any available surface. From here, you can clearly see that the marble floor of the lobby is decorated to look like a compass. Descending the stairs will reveal that, in addition to the artifacts mounted on the walls, several plaques have been put up detailing the lives of those trapped here--including you.

If you peer out the windows, you’ll see a tropical island sprawled out before you, overgrown with palm trees and shrubs. If you peer far enough above the treeline, you might even be able to see the ocean. No matter how hard you try, the front door is sealed shut and the windows seem impossible to break.

You've got until noon 'til the meeting happens. For now...enjoy the club, if you can.

[Leia's dark eyes flash; she doesn't take kindly to mockery, not from Han Solo and especially not from a giant blue...Hutt crossbreed? She can't quite tell what to make of him.]

[Leia's brow furrows, and she takes another moment to look at the girl in front of her, realizing that...she is just a girl.]

Just a kid...

[She mutters this to herself, and then lifts her chin.]

I'm Leia Organa, princess of Alderaan. Do you know anything about this place?

Good...good. [Leia straightens up, posture straight and noble.] Neither will I. Did you just wake up here, too?

He was my father, and he was blown up along with my mother and everyone else on the planet by a sycophantic tyrant.

[Just. Stone-faced.]

Well, I'm sorry, but I've never heard of it. Anyway—

[Leia's eyes scan over the photos on the wall until she sees the girl in front of her.]

Rapunzel? You seem...awfully cheery.

[suspicious!!!]

Oh, I'm sorry, are you some kind of expert in intergalactic politics?

[Her eyes narrow.]

...Not a fan?

[Yzma freezes midstep at the commanding tone- somewhat shocked at the audacity of this stranger to try to demand answers out of her. She draws herself up to her full height and stares Leia down.]

Yzma. Empress of the Incan empire. [Uh, technically.] And just who are you?

[She doesn't bother answering the planet question- it's Earth, obviously, what other planet could they even be on?]

Don't ever speak to me again.

[She's. Making a rude gesture and walking away. Can't wait to reconvene with this guy later!]

[It was Cass that voiced the opinion that maybe bringing along so many people (okay, Shorty was a stowaway) wasn't a great idea. They were here on a quest, Cassandra had set aside her time, and a position working with her father, to help Rapunzel reach the Dark Kingdom... and Rapunzel set time aside to host festivals in Vardaros, or enjoy life as a bird.

But looking back, back before things became strained... it was nice. Cass had fun and she liked seeing Raps so happy. If not for that stupid tree, and that stupid Adira... maybe things would have stayed that way.]

Right. No arguments or last minute betrayals this time.

[Oh, no. That looked...painful. Leia tries not to laugh, but there is a twitch at the corner of her mouth, an expectant raised eyebrow.]

No problem. Are you...in charge of this post? I assume so, if you're taking inventory.

Personally, I've always preferred daggers to spears. Too unwieldy, harder to conceal under your clothes.

Oh... that. [Yeah, he really did gloss over the whole "waking up someplace he doesn't recognize" thing.] See, with how inviting the place is, I was thinking this was more like a surprise vacation of sorts. ...but something about calling it a kidnapping suddenly makes it all seem so sinister.

...ah well- the way I see it, everybody's gotta eat anyway. No sense going hungry 'til we get home, right?

[Boy does Kronk not enjoy being saddled with the task of telling her he's more alive than he's supposed to be.]

He's, um... living with Pac- with the peasant. The peasant's family. Yep. That's what he's up to now.

[There's like, a solid three seconds or so where Yzma is so overwhelmed with rage that it looks like she may just start strangling Kronk then and there. But:]

... If he's living with the peasant, then he's not living at the palace. Which means he's not the emperor anymore. Right?

I don't even remember stopping anywhere for the night. I thought I was still traveling a moment ago.

[Shouted at her retreating back, obviously.]

Going to bed is the last thing I remember... Being able to kidnap sleeping people is one thing, but awake people is probably a lot harder. [she assumes, having never kidnapped anyone.] Someone put a lot of work into this.

Not unless we're planning a hunger strike to non-violently protest our capture! [which tbh she would last maybe an hour through]

I mean, it is sinister, isn't it? I can't think of any nice reasons anyone could have for locking a bunch of strangers in a house.

Hm... [thinks] You're right. It's probably not great for the enemy to know exactly how you're armed. The element of surprise and everything.
