ADVENTURE IS OUT THERE...

The first thing you notice upon gaining consciousness is the smell. The air smells musty and woody, like the back corner of some forgotten tourist trap. As you stir yourself awake, you find yourself in a wicker bed with a soft sheet draped over you. The room’s walls are wood-paneled, and a nearby desk displays a digital clock reading “9 AM”. A singular potted plant provides the barest amount of decoration--though, the exact plant species differs between rooms. A note written in flowing cursive has been taped to your door.

MEETING IN THE LOBBY AT NOON

As you make your way out of your room, you’ll find yourself on a balcony overlooking a octagonal lobby below. Various artifacts and trophies decorate the club from top to bottom, cluttering the walls and any available surface. From here, you can clearly see that the marble floor of the lobby is decorated to look like a compass. Descending the stairs will reveal that, in addition to the artifacts mounted on the walls, several plaques have been put up detailing the lives of those trapped here--including you.

If you peer out the windows, you’ll see a tropical island sprawled out before you, overgrown with palm trees and shrubs. If you peer far enough above the treeline, you might even be able to see the ocean. No matter how hard you try, the front door is sealed shut and the windows seem impossible to break.

You've got until noon 'til the meeting happens. For now...enjoy the club, if you can.

First time I've heard of a "Theme Song Gal". [Hm.] Something's not adding up. If there's a host for this place, they had to be in on putting this here. And this has way too much information on us to my liking.

Really? Weird. Would've been certain everybody'd have Kuzco's anthem memorized by now...

No, I get what you mean. Part of it's probably just looking into public records, but other stuff... sure makes you wonder how they found out about it. [That last parenthetical bit about his father, specifically? Not too fond about seeing that in writing here.]

Then again, something about this guy was getting to her. Was it the style of his clothes? The airheadedness? Both? Probably both.]

"Kuzco?" Who's Kuzco?

Kuzco- y'know, the Emperor? Rules over everyone? Lost the throne when he got turned into a llama by my ex-boss? [All said with the casual, upbeat tonality of somebody rattling off anecdotes about a friend they’ve told stories about before but whose name has never been able to stick in your mind.]

[Let's just set that whole part about being turned into a llama aside for now, and focus on the first part. Cassandra actually racks her brain for a moment, thinking honeslty about if she's ever heard of a 'Emperor Kuzco'... with apparently an ego, or super loyal followers. Nothing so far.]

I'm going to guess that he's not connected to Corona or any of the seven kingdoms, because I've never heard that name.
