WEEK 3
[When you wake up the following morning, the doors to the Adventurers Club are open. It only took you a horrible murder to get into the outside of the club, but finally you get some fresh air! Now that you’re outside, the gentle seaside feeling of the island seems to almost instantly soothe any anxieties you had about the previous days. And when night arrives, the island comes alive with music and lights and the island parties until dawn.
One odd thing everyone will notice, however, is that instead of humans or animals inhabiting the island, it seems to be entirely populated by sentient mannequins. They seem friendly enough, but they’re definitely creepy to look at for longer than a few minutes.
However it seems only a portion of the island is available right now. As you make your way deeper into the island, are large, impassable construction walls blocking your way. With cute little “pardon our pixie dust” signs! If you peer from the windows of the Adventurers Club, you might be able to spot the ocean....
Enjoy the sunshine and warm breeze if you can. Despite the new scenery, you're still not any closer to getting home than you were last week.]

When that probably doesn't get her much of anything, she swipes a souvenir shirt and shorts from the Depot and wades out into the sea! She seems... not sure what to do, but almost happy? Almost. So close.
Later on, though, she can be caught at Videopolis, still damp from the ocean and covered in a not insignificant amount of sand, listening to the band just really go at it on a cover of... something, I'll pick a track when you reply or you can pick one. Regardless, she's looking at it with just kind of... fascination? This place is the wildest introduction to the concept of Music.
Or, much later on, she's changed back into her normal clothes and is in the library, looking through... some kind of file folder? She very clearly doesn't like it! This might be most strongly indicated by how she crumples each sheet up as she finishes with it. ]

Nice, isn't it?

Yeah. I've never been to a beach before.

No, it's... something the mask shouldn't have had. Doofenshmirtz had it, but he gave it back to me.

It's suspiciously purple, and everyone can understand it when it talks.]
C'mon! Share the cheese puffs! I know you've got more of 'em!

[Kronk then promptly dunks his whole hand into a big bag of unappetizingly gray shrimp that he's lovingly slung in one arm like an oversized baby full of raw prawns, rustling around to get a good handful for the walruses.]

When she comes downstairs from the dormitory area, the others might notice that Rapunzel is dressed... quite differently. Which is understandable, considering her dress was caked in blood and bits of gore from Bill's execution, but it's not just the knee-length shorts she's now clad in. She's wearing a deep green tunic that absolutely belongs to a certain other person who was definitely wearing it the day before. The tunic is unbuttoned down the front and Rapunzel is wearing a loose shirt under it, so she doesn't seem to need it, but... hm.
Anyway!
As soon as she notices the front doors are open, Rapunzel wastes no time in rushing outside to the beach. The smile on her face as she makes it to the shore and dips her feet in the surf is like the sun; shining bright, lighting up her entire face as she laughs.]
Ohhhh wow, I didn't realize how much I missed fresh air! And the feeling of the sun, and the water! This is amazing...
[Confinement is just... not good with her anymore.
She spends most of her day at the beach, enjoying the sun and the water and just the feeling of being outside, but as the sun begins to set, Rapunzel decides to do a bit more exploring. Eventually she ends up in front of the movie theater, standing in front of the poster for Idolizing Colonialists, her head tilted to one side.]
What's a... movie?
beach
she waves in... her best attempt at a friendly greeting? she doesn't smile but again she gets close!!
and then she is immediately slammed by a wave and immediately reduced to Drowned Rat status. rip. ]

[Hey, Raps. You've been wearing Cass's tunic all day, leaving her in her undershirt. Which isn't that bad, all things - especially this island weather - considered. It's Terapi island, all over again.]
And the 'people' around here aren't going to help explain.
no subject
A play, huh... [She giggles.] Y'know, i all the places on this island are staffed by those mannequins... do you think they're the actors too? That would be pretty funny to watch!

It's a new day! Nobody's died in the last couple days. Cass could hope that streak would continue, right? Right!!
She's up and ready to face the day, coming down in the morning for breakfast in the saloon. Her attire is... noticeably different today. No longer is she wearing the deep green tunic she arrived in, opting instead for just a tan undershirt while she goes rooting around for any leftover pancakes.
After breakfast, Cass wastes no time in heading outside. It's an immediate improvement after being cooped up indoors for a couple weeks. Not everything she wanted, but a start.
She spends the day wandering outside, giving just about everywhere at least a glance, including the theater. She stops there to inspect the posters indicating what's being shown... and to try and ask a working mannequin just what a "movie" is supposed to be anyway. It's a conversation that's really not getting anywhere for obvious reasons.
Which takes us into the evening, when the doors of the Adventurer's Club burst open, and Cassandra comes barreling out. She's making a mad dash for the beach, and not stopping for anyone that gets in her way. Which probably has something to do with the flaming jack-o-lantern she's got.
Once she's to the water's edge, she hurls the head into the drink, letting herself just... stand there, panting slowly as she watched the sizzling pumpkin disappear under the waves.]
Well... that was something.

Are you alright, Miss Cassandra? [Are you burned? Hurt? Humans get hurt so easily!] Where did that come from?

the theater
Oh, I can tell you what a movie is! It's a story that's been like... acted out by other people telling it? And then they used a camera to record it so that you can watch the story being told without the actors having to keep performing the same thing over and over again. And then that recording can be shared with many other people who weren't there in person when they acted it out.
Anyway, we used to have a movie theater like this back home, and it played movies like Indiana Jones... though, um, sometimes you get bad movies that you don't like too. You just don't know until you see it.
